About Our Chapter |
|
The Atlanta Chapter is a
local chapter of the Association of Government Accountants, a national
organization of professionals interested in efficient, effective and
economical financial management at all levels of government. The
Chapter is composed of approximately 300 members who work for federal, state,
municipal and local governmental agencies as well as individuals from
academia and the private sector. The Atlanta Chapter meets at least
eight months of the year at a weekday luncheon meeting, conducts seminars to
provide continuing professional education for its members and the public,
participates in numerous community service projects benefiting Atlanta and
its metropolitan area, and offers scholarship and award programs. Membership in the local chapter is available to anyone who holds membership in the national association and pays the dues for the local chapter which are $5.00 annually. Mission Statement
